Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs are a cross-breed of German Sheperds and Carpatian Wolves.There are five bloodlines of CsV resulting from crossing she-wolves with German Sheperds and wolves with German Sheperd bitches.Hartl and Rosik spent almost 30 years working on creating this breed.At first they treated it as a breeding experiment, then it turned out to be a success with puppies eager to train. The idea of using wolfdogs to work for guards at the border came about, as they had more stamina than other breeds.So they were mainly kept by soldiers.Wolfdogs resemble wolves in terms of appearance,sharpness of senses,health and condition. A lot of attention was paid to stabilising their character and susceptibility to training.The breed was registered in 1982.
